Backstory

I have had a rich variety of experiences that shape my understanding of life, ministry, service and work.

I serve as Senior Minister at The Table: UCC, United Church of Christ La Mesa (San Diego), a beautiful, multi-generational, multi-cultural, growing church that embraces all and forwards a theologically progressive embrace. You are welcome to join us for worship on Sundays at 10 am.

Earlier, I served Plymouth Congregational Church (Minneapolis) as Sabbatical Minister. Before then, I served Saint Peter’s Church in New York City, the Village Church in Wellesley, Massachusetts, the First Congregational Church of Darien, Connecticut and the First Congregational Church of Ridgefield, Connecticut. I was a chapel minister at Yale Divinity School’s Marquand Chapel. I’m honored to share that I was recently invited to become a member of the UCC’s StillSpeaking Writer’s group, which produces publications for the wider church including daily devotionals. I recently served on the Search Committee for the next General Minister and President of the denomination.

I am a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and of Yale University, where I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree cum laude and a Master of Divinity degree with highest awards in preaching and liturgy, respectively.  I’m a liturgist, and was trained at Yale’s Institute of Sacred Music. Before this, I worked for a large financial services company on Wall Street.

Family is the world to me. My husband, Patrik and I have a daughter who is our great delight.
